Autumn-Winter 2016 Eyewear trends

Being the top Fashion accessory of 2015 and 2016, spectacle designs have improved vastly since I started working in optics 8 years ago. So much so many designers bring out two collections each year, one for spring/summer and one for autumn/winter. In this article we are going to show you some of our top picks for this season so far!

First up is this beautiful pair by William Morris London, with the rise in popularity of rosy colours such as rose gold jewellery and rosy coloured hair it’s only natural that eyewear would follow suit. We have many shapes and styles in this colour but this is certainly one of our favourites.

For men there’s quirky tortoiseshell pieces like this one by Marc Jacobs, the heavy design and slightly oversized shape is very on trend this season. Perfect for the man that wants to be seen.

Another popular colour this season is teal, as seen on styles like this one by Neubau eyewear, very much a colour that can work on anyone from a young lady in her 20’s to the slightly more mature ladies.

We’re not all about heavy frames here, less is definitely more when it comes to these extra light frames by Silhouette eyewear. More known for their rimless designs, Silhouette have decided to branch out a little more to create effortlessly chic designs. This burgundy round frame is the perfect autumn pair.

Something for the future, keep an eye out for eyewear made of more adventurous materials in the coming months like this wood effect pair from Rocco By Rodenstock. Wood, stone and horn rim glasses are all set to take centre stage next year.
